Know the science?

Cool video! The video is work safe but the site has some porn banners and links to adult oriented sites. The video shows a cornstarch mixture. When the liquid is vibrated different behaviors are demonstrated by blowing air into the mixture. The first example shows a hole that is formed and never collapses despite the air being removed. The 2nd example shows the interaction of 3 such holes. I would expect them to combine into one instead they bounce off each other. The 3rd (at higher vibrations) holes don't form but fingers form from the liquid and double as they topple over on themselves. Very interesting!
